I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package (which arrived quickly) to find that these canisters are not cheaply manufactured. The metal is solid but lightweight and the acrylic lid window is sturdy. I purchased one set of six and within 10 minutes of their arrival I'd washed them all and filled them with sugar, flour, rice, etc. I'll be purchasing at least one more set of six to keep my kitchen/pantry clutter in check.

I should note that they ARE a bit small for flour storage, I'll be looking for a larger canister in the near future for that purpose. But, the description clearly states 40 oz, so I knew what to expect.
